Partnership: Aimhigher West Area

Focus on Careers (www.focusoncareers.org.uk) provides localised, accessible information on careers, qualifications, further and higher education courses and apprenticeships, across 13 key employment sectors. It covers Wiltshire and Swindon, Gloucestershire, Somerset, and the West of England (comprising Bristol, Bath and North East Somerset, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire).

Aimed at students aged 14 to 19, this resource will also help teachers, parents/carers, and careers advisers to support decisions made by learners in Years 9-12. As well as giving information for students and parents, Focus on Careers offers teachers free, downloadable careers lesson plans (also available via separate link www.careerlessonplans.org.uk).
